Do not exaggerate - The risk of excessive weight loss

When achieving your goal weight you might feel you could still loss a pound or two and finally become really slim. If already coming so far it cannot be so difficult to lose that pound or two, right? Beware of such thoughts because they might lead from one extreme to another - underweight.

Weight regain is everyone’s greatest nightmare when achieving a healthy body weight but it is important to be aware that extreme weight loss is also not rare especially if trying to achieve the beauty standards which have become virtually unreachable. You should keep in mind that no one thinks it could happen to them and all they wanted to achieve is to look more attractive and a little bit more slim. However, underweight can severely impact health and well-being just like overweight and if not treated it can be even fatal. For that reason do not exaggerate with weight loss and always keep in mind that no one looks like the people on the magazine’s covers and commercials.

Give up the idea of losing a pound or two extra when achieving a healthy body weight and rather concentrate on maintaining of balance between consumed and burned calories.
