Observing body weight changes - Keep track of your body weight

You can let loose a little bit, eat a chocolate without feeling of guilt and miss an exercise or switch to less intense type of physical activity when achieving a healthy body weight but it may be very difficult to determine how many times you can afford yourself a “little pleasure” without risking weight gain. After all, the purpose of weight loss is not only losing the excess pounds but to maintain a healthy body weight for good.

You probably heard already for thousand of times you need to keep a healthy balance between consumed and burned calories. Calorie counting cannot last forever in practice although some sort of mechanism is required to alarm you when you start gaining weight. The easiest way to observe your body weight changes is to measure your weight regularly. You should not get upset for every pound or two because it is completely normal body weight to vary a pound or two up and down. However, when your weight stops varying down and is only rising it is time to be concerned because you consume more calories your body burns.

If you do not want to stand on bathroom scale each day you can easily control your body weight with a peace of cloth which fits you only at your optimal body weight. Wear it regularly to work or at home and as soon as you feel it is getting too tight reduce intake of calories through food and increase physical activity.
